This invention belongs to medicine, namely a method for purifying of air mixture in surgery and maternity wards to remove pathogenic microorganisms, highly volatile organic and carcinogenic substances and regeneration of oxygen during surgical interventions and obstetrics aid in closed premises.
This is a new method for regular purifying of air mixture in surgery and maternity wards and also enrichment of it with oxygen through chemisorption of carbon dioxide and water vapor.
The reachable technical result of the invention is multistage purifying of air mixture coming from a compressor, namely:
removal of fine particles and aerosols by means of carbon tissue filter;
adsorption of gases, vapors of alcohols, ethers and other organic compounds by means of carbon and chemisorption filters;
photo-effect on pathogenic microorganisms and fine molecules of gases by means of hard ultraviolet emission (wavelengths: 200 – 290 nm) and monochromatic spectrum of blue light (wavelengths: 430 – 470 nm) producing the reduction of their virulence and destruction of the membranes of microorganisms and their protoplasm and also activation of organic molecules;
chemisorption of carbon dioxide (CO2) and water vapors by means of calcium peroxide (CaO2) with the release of atomic and molecular oxygen;
turbulent mixing of pathogenic microorganisms and their toxins with atomic oxygen, their disinfection and oxidation;
removal of fine particles of carbon and calcium peroxide by means of wadding-cloth filter.
The offered method comprises a new approach to purifying, disinfection and regeneration of oxygen in a closed premise due to oxygen dioxide and water exhaled by human being and also removal of volatile organic substances (alcoholic, ether fumes, etc.) from the atmosphere by means of chemisorption filters where the photo-effect of ultraviolet and blue spectra of light, combined with atomic oxygen formed as a result of chemical reaction of CO2 with alkaline metal peroxides, provides catalysis and effective disinfection of pathogenic microorganisms.
A method for purifying of air mixture in surgery and maternity wards to remove pathogenic microorganisms, highly volatile organic and carcinogenic substances and regeneration of oxygen in closed premises consists in the following: purifying of air mixture, enforced into the purifying system, against fine dust and aerosols is carried out by using carbon tissue filter, and purifying against vapors of organic and highly volatile compounds is carried out by using carbon and chemisorption filters; mitigation of virulence and photo-catalysis of organic substances and microorganisms is carried out simultaneously by ultraviolet (wavelengths: 200 – 290 nm) and blue (wavelengths: 430 – 470 nm) monochrome emitters; chemisorption of carbon dioxide and water vapor is carried out by using a filter (eg. a filter made of calcium peroxide) releasing atomic and molecular oxygen to the air mixture at the same time; in turbulent mixing of pathogenic microorganisms and their toxins with atomic oxygen, disinfection and oxidation and also enrichment of the air mixture with oxygen molecules occur, and at the same time the organic compounds existing in the air mixture are adsorbed by a secondary carbon / chemisorption filter; fine particles of carbon and calcium peroxide are filtrated by a wadding-cloth filter.
Similarly, this method may be implemented to purify air in public places, land, underground and air transport and also to purify air in populated points and cities where high levels of air contamination with chemical substances are present.
