Patent for invention No. 2463089 "A method for prophylactics and treatment of diabetes mellitus through making effect on the patient by blue spectrum light and as a part of combined therapy".

This invention is related to medicine, in particular, to prophylactics and treatment of diabetes mellitus through making effect on the patient by blue spectrum light and as a part of combined therapy without drugs and insulin or with a minimum quantity of them.

A method for prophylactics and treatment of diabetes mellitus through making effect on the patient by blue spectrum light and as a part of combined therapy is implemented as follows:

without visible damages of the skin a patient makes effect on all of his/her body parts by means of a hydro massage and light effect device “AVERS-Douche” having monochromatic emitters of blue light with wavelengths 440 – 470 nm, emission power density 50 – 300 x 10^-3 W/cm² and resonance frequency 50 Hz during 10 – 12 minutes daily in the mornings and in the evenings while keeping the light effect device at a distance of 3 – 5 cm from the skin surface. This product is absolutely unique. It combines all the basic kinds of physiotherapy: hydrotherapy (treatment by means of water), thermotherapy (treatment by means of heat), phototherapy (treatment by means of light), cinesitherapy (massage) and physioprophylactics (conditioning to the cold). It may be applied in a user’s home bathroom.

If any skin damages exist (trophic ulcer, “diabetic foot”), a “Biolamp “AVERS-Sun” phototherapeutic device having monochromatic emitters of blue light with wavelengths of 440 – 470 nm, emission power density of at least 300 x 10^-3 W/cm² and resonance frequency 50 Hz is used; light emitting from it is directed onto the abdomen area by keeping the emission source at a distance of 15 – 20 cm from the skin surface; the skin area should be preliminarily treated with water / alcohol solution at the concentration of alcohol 40 – 80%.

A patient carries out prophylactics or treatment of diabetes mellitus on his/her own every day in the morning and evening during his/her hygienic procedures (glucose content in blood reduced by 2.4 – 4.6 mmol/l after a single treatment procedure) and also reduces the blood viscosity (by 6-8%), increases oxygen content in blood (by 32-40%); immunomodulation of human body occurs (increase of T-lymphocytes by 200%; T-active lymphocytes by 170%; B- lymphocytes by 160%; M, G, A immunoglobulines up to 130% each).

This method is very comfortable in use as it does not require attendance of a specialized medical institution; it may be even exercised at home. At an early stage of diabetes mellitus both of Type 1 and 2, it may be quickly terminated and cured. In chronic disease, this method is effective in the treatment of diabetes mellitus of Type 1 and 2. This method produces no side effects!
