The device is meant to significantly increase the accuracy of diagnoses of the most common human illnesses, which will make it possible to take diagnostics of diseases in the respiratory organs, the cardiovascular system and the gastrointestinal tract to a new level, providing an accurate diagnosis, information on provision of initial and follow-up therapy, application of medicines and other procedures, and precautionary measures, and issuing prescriptions for medicines that take into account any replacements or innovations in accordance with the treatment standards in the country where this device is applied. The device consists of an electronic stethoscope whose dimensions do not exceed those of a normal phonendoscope, but which has greater diagnostic capabilities. The device is capable of presenting graphics of phonocardiograms and echograms, reproduce sound and, during patient checkups, depicting and recording all information on a personal computer. The device's programs include around 200 examples of heart and lung sounds, depicted graphically. It may be used for teaching, telemedicine, demonstrational medicine, research work, follow-up care, by general practitioners, first-aid workers and in remote and sparsely populated areas that lack diagnostic centers and specialists, where even junior medical personnel can diagnose illnesses while preventing errors in diagnosis and means of therapy.
